About

Backgrounds with a pulse.

shader.gallery collects 150 WebGL backgrounds across 29 families that move the way light does: slow, dark, and alive. Each one is composed to sit behind real product UI without fighting it, and to retheme across 30 palettes in real time.

Under the hood, every shader is a single fragment program rendered by one small, framework-free runtime. Drop one in as a web component, a JavaScript mount, or a native React, Vue, or Svelte component. Recolour the whole wall live, breed new variations in Evolve, or blend whole shaders together in Mashup.

Designed and coded by E. T. Carter. Everything is MIT-licensed: the runtime, the framework wrappers, and the shader collection itself. Use them anywhere, including commercially, keeping the copyright notice. Questions or licensing: [email protected].
